Shelby Dyer

Shelby Dyer began her professional career as a member of Ballet Internationale Indianapolis where she performed for three seasons under the direction of Eldar Aliev, and working closely with Irina Kolpakova, Vladilen Semenov and Tatiana Pali. She performed leading roles with the company in Indianapolis and also toured to Taiwan, Canada, Los Angeles and many other cities in the United States. In 2006, she joined Tulsa Ballet Theater. After completing the 2006 season with Tulsa Ballet, Dyer joined Cincinnati Ballet Company for the remainder of its 2006 season, and then joined Colorado Ballet that same year. Her gala performances include the Florida International Ballet Gala, the Stars of the Russian National Ballet Gala in Chicago and the Vail International Dance Festival. She has also worked with accomplished choreographers Christopher Wheeldon, Rldar Aliev, Vladimir Angelov, Young Soon Hue, Lila York, Amy Seiwert, Jessica Lang, Michael Pink, Brian Reeder and Lynne Taylor-Corbett. Dyer’s notable performances include Lisa in
La Fille Mal Gardee, Dryad Queen and Flower Girl in
Don Quixote, Gulnara and Third Odalisque in
Le Corsaire, the Peasant Pas de Deux in
Giselle, Canary Fairy, Miette Fairy and the Blue Bird Pas de Deux in
The Sleeping Beauty, a Little Angel in
The Creation of the World, Fairy Doll Pas de Trois, The Dying Poet Pas de Deux in
Great Galloping Gottschalk and Dew Drop Fairy and Sugar Plum Fairy in
The Nutcracker.
