
Travis Morrison is a 2006 graduate of the Miami City Ballet Pre-professional Program. A native of Dallas, Texas he received his early training from Tanju Tuzer and Paul Mejia and at SUNY Purchase from Ted Kivitt, Richard Cooke, Larry Clark, Stephanie Tooman, and Rosana Seravalli. While attending the Miami City Ballet School he trained under Truman Finney, Edward Villella and Geta Constantinescu. Mr. Morrison attended summer programs on scholarship at American Ballet Theatre, the Harid Conservatory, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the 42nd annual Bartholin International Ballet Seminar in Copenhagen. In 2009, Mr. Morrison was a competitor in the New York International Ballet Competition. Inspired by the strong support of the performing arts in the Denver community, coupled with Gil Bogg’s vision for the Colorado Ballet, Mr. Morrison joined Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company. He was selected to join the Company in 2008. As a member of Colorado Ballet, has had the privilege of working with noted choreographers such as Michael Pink, Eldar Aliev, John Gardner, Amanda McKerrow, Lila York and Septime Webre. He especially enjoyed performing in the ballets by modern choreographers including Eventually by Brian Reeder and Things Left Unsaid by Amy Seiwert. In addition to contemporary roles, Mr. Morrison has danced a wide range of classical roles including Spanish in Swan Lake, Toreador and Gypsy in Don Quixote and Paris in Romeo & Juliet. Most recently, Mr. Morrison had the pleasure of performing as a guest artist with Amy Seiwert’s company, Imagery.
