Sanya Andersen-Vie - Feb. 6, 2012
DENVER – Colorado Ballet added a performance to its upcoming run of Peter Pan, February 24 through March 4, 2012, bringing the total up to 11 performances. The additional performance will take place at 6:30 p.m. on February 28 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
“We decided to add the extra performance because ticket sales are going very well and the excitement continues to build for Peter Pan,” said Gil Boggs, Artistic Director for Colorado Ballet. “Children of all ages will enjoy the high-flying adventure of this classic story.”
From the artistic duo behind Dracula, choreographer Michael Pink and composer Philip Feeney, Peter Pan made its world premiere with the Milwaukee Ballet in 2010 and now makes its Denver debut with Colorado Ballet.
“Children will be a big part of this performance,” said Boggs. “Members of the Colorado Children’s Chorale will sing with musicians of the Colorado Ballet Orchestra and eight students from the Colorado Ballet Academy will dance in the performance.”
