Youth Education Programs

The Colorado Ballet Auxiliary proudly offers three wonderful education programs that encompass a wide range of ballet and performing arts appreciation and education. The programs are offered for children starting in fourth grade and continue through high school.

Esprit de Corps

Fourth and fifth grade students enjoy the magic of ballet by attending three performances during the season. The students build friendships outside their normal school arena while learning about the ballet through discussions with ballet staff. They have the opportunity to learn about the costumes, make-up and stage sets up close and "hands-on."

Backstage

Backstage is the Auxiliary's program for sixth, seventh and eight grade students. Backstage provides a unique opportunity for kids to connect with Colorado Ballet's professional dancers, have fun with their peers in social activities and participate in behind the scenes programs at Colorado Ballet. Participants attend three ballet performances during the season.

Ballet Ambassadors

Ballet Ambassadors is a program to provide the unique opportunity to connect with Colorado Ballet’s professional dancers and staff while making a significant volunteer contribution to the Denver arts community.  This program is designed to meet the community involvement and volunteer requirements of high school age students in a fun and meaningful way.   The program is open to both young men and women.
