Charlotte started her ballet training at the age of 10 at the Washington School of Ballet under the direction of Mary Day and Rebecca Wright. She then followed Michael Bjerknes, former Joffrey Ballet Principal, to study at the American Dance Institute on scholarship. She continued her training with Dawei Zhang of the Shanghai Ballet. During her training she attended various summer programs such as American Ballet Theatre, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, the School of American Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Canada’s National Ballet School. She received the Phillip Jerry Memorial Scholarship for summer study and was a finalist for three years in the Kennedy Center Ballet Master Class Series. Charlotte spent the last two years as a studio company member with Colorado Ballet where she enjoyed performing in such productions as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, and George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations. She is very excited to be starting her first season with the company.
