In late August 2014, Colorado Ballet moved to its new home, The Armstrong Center for Dance at 1075 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204. At Colorado Ballet’s new home, similar to our old building, all parking spots in the adjacent lot are reserved and assigned to specific dancers and staff. Dancers and staff may leave and come back throughout the day, so please do not take a spot just because it appears to be free. The new location offers much safer Academy student drop off and pick up. Academy families are welcome to circle the lot while picking up their children as long as they do not block the lot.
Our new location offers an abundance of free parking throughout the neighborhood. Santa Fe Drive has free 2 hour parking. North of 11th Avenue, parking is free for 1 hour. Kalamath Street south of 11th Avenue offers free parking all day. Surrounding residential neighborhoods also offer free parking all day. Please note that as of November 2015, there is no parking on 11th Avenue between Santa Fe Drive and Kalamath Street due newly installed bike lanes. Please watch for signs around street sweeping days and other parking restrictions.
Please enter the building through the double doors through the parking lot on the west side of the Armstrong Center for Dance.
To ensure that you arrive to enjoy the scheduled Colorado Ballet performance at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in its entirety, please take traffic and other transportation issues into consideration. The Denver Performing Arts Complex is home to several venues that may also have performances running at the same time. This may cause the parking garage to fill quickly. We recommend to arriving an hour prior to the start of the performance. Additionally, other garages and street parking (where available) may require a short walk to the venue.
The eight-story, DPAC parking garage is located onsite and can accommodate 1,700 vehicles. Garage entrances are located on Arapahoe and 13th Streets. Additional parking is available at the Colorado Convention Center Parking Garage located at Speer Blvd and Champa Street, just 2 blocks South of the DPAC garage. The Colorado Convention Center Parking Garage can accommodate 1,000 vehicles, for more information, please click here. If you have any further parking inquiries, please visit the website for the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
Valet services will close 1-hour after the last Complex performance has concluded. After-hours valet vehicle pick-up will be available through the garage's 24-hour security team.
Valet service will only occur off of 13th Street, in the lower level reserved area, just inside the entry gate.
The cost of valet will be $25 per vehicle. Valet service is cash only, pre-paid at the time of vehicle drop-off. Valet services will be provided by USA Parking; a subsidiary of SP Plus (formally Standard Parking). USA Parking is an experienced and highly professional valet company providing 5-star valet services to many local (and national) airports, hospitals, hotels and resorts.
If you choose to take public transportation, we suggest planning ahead for an early arrival. Be sure to check that your bus or train will still be running after the performance ends. The Light Rail is an excellent option for transportation to the theater. The Theater District/Convention Center stop drops you off right across the street from the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
