Mackenzie Dessens

Mackenzie Dessens is from New Orleans, Louisiana where she began her training at Giacobbe Academy of Dance and privately with Kimberly Beck. She attended summer programs in New York with the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Mackenzie continued her training at Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy and upon completion, joined Cincinnati Ballet’s second company. In 2015, she joined Colorado Ballet.

During the summer, Mackenzie works with Jefferson Ballet Theatre in Louisiana as a principle guest artist under the direction of Kimberly Matulich-Beck and Kenneth Beth. Jefferson Ballet Theatre is associated with Jefferson Performing Arts Society who has earned the reputation as “Louisiana’s Cultural Leader.”
