Colorado Ballet's NextGen Leaders

Backstage Barre: Colorado Ballet's NextGen Leaders is for young professionals who are interested in ballet.  We host special events, behind-the-scenes experiences and offer discounts to some of Colorado Ballet's other events, like the annual gala.  Please join us for our upcoming events.  Check this page and the Colorado Ballet Facebook page regularly for updates on events.

Calendar of events (all events are for members and non-members!):

  • Craft & Brews - 4 p.m. on November 4, 2017 – enjoy craft beer with an inside look into the artist’s craft during formal interviews with dancers, costume & other artistic staff at the Armstrong Center for Dance.

  • Private in-studio rehearsal of The Nutcracker and Holiday Cocktail Party - 5 p.m. on *December 6, 2017 (rehearsal - *tentative) and 5:30 p.m. on December 7, 2017 cocktails (location TBD) followed by 7:30 p.m. production of The Nutcracker (optional) at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
  • Day of Dance taster class during Movement Climbing + Fitness’s Focus on Fitness week - 6 p.m. on January 26, 2018 - followed by various styles of back to back dance classes at the Armstrong Center for Dance at 3 p.m. on January 27, 2018 - with cocktails and appetizers to follow.

Membership

The cost for 2017/2018 Backstage Barre membership is $60.  This includes:

  • One ticket to February 2018 Attitude on Santa Fe - Performance featuring ballets choreographed and performed by Colorado Ballet's dancers in the Black Box Theater inside the Armstrong Center for Dance, 1075 Santa Fe Dr.
  • One ticket to Craft & Brews - 4 p.m. on November 4, 2017 – enjoy craft beer with an inside look into the artist’s craft during formal interviews with dancers, costume & other artistic staff at the Armstrong Center for Dance.
  • Private dress rehearsal invitation to one in-studio rehearsal of The Nutcracker including invitation to Holiday Cocktail Party - 5 p.m. on *December 6, 2017 (rehearsal - *tentative) and 5:30 p.m. on December 7, 2017 cocktails (location TBD) followed by 7:30 p.m. production of The Nutcracker (optional) at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House (20% discount on ticket price).
  • One ticket to Day of Dance taster class during Movement Climbing + Fitness’s Focus on Fitness week - 6 p.m. on January 26, 2018 - followed by various styles of back to back dance classes at the Armstrong Center for Dance at 3 p.m. on January 27, 2018 - with cocktails and appetizers to follow.
