Vail International Dance Festival

Ballet Blast - 7:30 p.m. on August 2, 2015
The Vail International Dance Festival welcomes the National Ballet of Mexico for the first time, joined by Colorado Ballet, BalletX, a selection of international ballet stars, and another Festival newcomer, New York’s nascent BalletCollective – all brought together for a diverse evening of ballet, from classic to contemporary, with music by the cutting edge string quartet, Brooklyn Rider.  Tickets on sale now!  Click here to purchase tickets.

Balanchine Celebration - 7:30 p.m. on August 9, 2015
Celebrating George Balanchine, one of the 20th century’s greatest artistic figures and founder of New York City Ballet, this performance features a selection of the world’s finest dancers in a unique evening of Balanchine ballets.  Members of Colorado Ballet’s corps de ballet will perform Concerto Barocco with guest principal dancers.  Tickets on sale now!  Click here to purchase tickets.

An Evening Under The Stars

Join the stars of Colorado Ballet under the stars for a program featuring excerpts from upcoming and past productions as well as other classical and contemporary works.  The performance will include the contemporary ballet In Pieces by choreographer Val Caniparoli, which made its world premiere with Colorado Ballet in 2013.  Featuring dramatic lighting and costumes, the ballet is set to Poul Ruders' musical composition Concerto in Pieces.

Behind the Scenes Luncheons are your opportunity to hear artists of Colorado Ballet talk about the upcoming production and answer your questions.  After lunch, look in on dress rehearsal and see the dancers in action!  The entrée is Atlantic Salmon, Zucchini Tart, Leeks, Spinach, and Lemon Mustard Butter.
