Emily Speed

Emily Speed is originally from Argyle, TX and graduated from Marina Almayeva School of Classical Ballet. She has qualified and competed in the Varna International Ballet Competition, Jackson IBC and YAGP Finals. She is also a World Ballet Competition Finalist and won first place in the YAGP regionals. During her career, Emily has danced in companies across the country including Alabama Ballet, Boulder Ballet and Ballet Tucson performing soloist and principal roles. Since joining Colorado Ballet in 2014, Emily has danced numerous featured roles in several productions and performed in the Vail Dance Festival in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

More about Emily:

Emily has performed in many productions across the country as a Guest Artist. Emily has taught in Summer Intensives nationwide including; Colorado Ballet, South Mississippi Ballet Theater, Classic Dance Academy and Mobile Ballet. She loves sharing her passion for dance through teaching and currently teaches throughout Denver. Emily has a schnoodle named Rocky and is thankful for her husband and family’s support.
