Tracy Jones

Born in Cork, Ireland, Tracy trained at The Royal Ballet School in London for 8 years where she graduated with a Trinity Diploma in Dance. In 2006, she won the Ursula Moreton choreographic competition and was a finalist of the Young British Dancer of the Year.

Tracy has danced professionally with The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and Barcelona Ballet before joining the Colorado Ballet in 2013. She was promoted to Soloist in 2017.

Tracy began teaching at the Colorado Ballet Academy in 2013. She currently teaches the pre-professional division and higher levels but in the past, she has also been a part of the adult ballet program and the “Be Beautiful, Be yourself” program for young dancers with Down’s Syndrome. Many of her students have been accepted to train at prestigious summer intensives and year round programs. Tracy has also taught and adjudicated at competitions such as ADC IBC. Each year she teaches various summer intensive programs and masterclasses at schools across the state and in the UK and Hawaii.

Tracy loves teaching at Colorado Ballet’s academy because the students are dedicated, eager to learn and supportive of each other.
