Audition Requirements & Dress Code  
All applicants must submit an Audition Registration form and attach (1) 5”x7” high-quality photograph of the dancer in tendu à la seconde en face.  

Failure to fill out this form will result in a delay in the processing of the student’s audition results, and/or the student will not be evaluated. Receipt will be generated from Colorado Ballet Ticketing and sent to the email address provided during the registration process.

Registration Details
Upon registration you will receive a receipt containing a link to complete your audition form and upload the requested photos. 

This form must be completed immediately upon receiving receipt in order to participate in the audition. Failure to fill out this form will result in a delay in the processing of the student’s audition results, and/or the student will not be evaluated. Receipt will be generated from Colorado Ballet Ticketing and sent to the email address provided during the registration process. 

Online registration closes at 11:59pm MT on the Thursday before the audition. 
All audition fees are non-refundable, regardless of circumstance. 

Audition Dress Code 
Students shall have the right to dress in accordance with their gender identity, within the dress code requirements stated by CBA. 

Option 1: black leotard, pink or skin colored tights with matching ballet slippers. Hair must be neatly secured in a bun. 
Option 2: white t-shirt, black tights, black or white ballet slippers

Colorado Ballet Academy gives the same priority to those who audition in person or via video audition.   

Details
- Video registration fee $50, credit card only. 
- All audition fees are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances. 
- Videos must be recorded and uploaded to a video sharing site such as YouTube. 
- Video must be recorded between October 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024. All videos must be received by no later than June 1, 2024.   
- Videos will be reviewed upon receipt and results will be communicated within four (4) weeks. Due to the number of auditions, we are unable to provide individual feedback. 

The audition videotape should be between 15-20 minutes in length and include the following: 
- Barre (one side only) 
- Center floor work
- adagio
- pirouette combination
- petit allegro
- grand allegro

Steps to submit video audition 
- Complete online registration by paying the fee for a video audition. 
- Upon purchase, you will receive a receipt containing a link to complete your audition form. You will provide the link to your video on this form as well as uploading the required photos: 
(1) 4”x6” photo in tendu a la seconde 
(1) 4”x6” portrait 
- Photos do not need to be professional quality but must clearly portray the student.
